We're off and running to collect signatures for a public vote in June 2008 for more smoke free workplaces including all bars and truck stops in Fargo.

About Share the Air

Share the Air Fargo is a grassroots citizens group petitioning for more smoke free workplaces that when approved by the voters in June 08, will prohibit smoking in bars, truckstops and rented reception halls.

This campaign is a citizen led, equal opportunity, signature and ballot measure drive where anyone that supports a more comprehensive ban is invited to help collect signatures. Many of the signers also become active signature collectors gaining more aware active proponants for a yes vote to disallow smoking in bars, truckstops and rented meeting facilities, similar to the one Minnesota's Governor Pawlenty signed this spring. 

Another important aspect of this campaign is to stay positive and include information for cessation support opportunities throughout the campaign as we want to assure folks that do smoke that this is truly a community health effort that values all our citizens equally.
